About Poetics.

Production, curation, and distribution of poetic immersive experiences with new media. At scale. With love. Poetics started in Thessaloniki in 2025, and today runs pop-up immersive cinemas, projection mapping and audiovisual experiences, in Greece and beyond.

Poetics was founded in 2025 by Byron (opens in a new tab), Ilias (opens in a new tab) and Thanos.

Why Poetics exists.

Immersive films are made to be watched from the inside. They win prizes at Cannes, Venice and Sundance, then wait: cinemas are not built for them, and headsets sit unused at home. The people who make them struggle to earn from work that few get to see.

Poetics is the layer in between. We license the work, curate it for a place and an audience, and put it in front of people, so that immersive media becomes something people regularly discover and pay for, and its creators have a way to distribute it.

Today that is distribution. Original production and a streaming platform come next.

We run it ourselves.

We do not hand over a concept. We choose the films, install the room, run every session and look after every visitor, from the first headset fitting to the last pack-down.

Our own software, Poetics Pods, keeps every pod on one schedule. Each event teaches us something we keep for the next: more than 5,000 screenings at more than 15 events so far, rated 4.92 out of 5 by visitors.

Why the name.

Poetics is Aristotle’s book on how a story moves the people who watch it. Immersive cinema asks the same question in a new form, so we borrowed the title.
